DeviceNet is a communications link to connect industrial devices (such as photoelectric sensors, valve manifolds, process sensors, panel displays). This system avoids expensive point-to-point-connections and is the leading bus system in North America. The direct connection between the devices cares for flexible communication of the devices together and creates space for diagnoses on device level which would not be possible with classic wiring or only with disproportionately high expenditure.
