Foundation Fieldbus was
concepted for the process automation. Therefore, the operating sites lie in
the process industry, e.g. in the chemical and food industry. Foundation
Fieldbus is a full-digitalized serial two-way-communication system, used in
local networks (LAN) in process and supervisory level. The Fieldbus
development is a significant group of digital networks in the process level
hierarchy. Foundation Fieldbus is used as well in process as production
automation level.
