Industrial Ethernet is still a young, developing technology. Depending on the area of application, it is necessary for the cable to withstand increased mechanical, chemical and thermal stresses while simultaneously maintaining the defined transmission characteristics.

LEONI has actively responded to the growing demand for industrial grade Ethernet cabling by introducing a variety of different cable solutions, which are robust enough to survive in different industrial environments.

The basic configuration from Cat 5e up to Cat 7 of the data transmission elements of these different industrial Ethernet Products is basically the same, twisted pair or quad. Ethernet cables for permanent installation are designed with solid copper conductors. For flexible applications, LSC has recently developed an extremely flexible Industrial Ethernet trailing patch cable that features fine-strands conductors
